Overview

 

This summer on July 31st, HoYoverse is bringing you the latest version – version 2.4 “Finest Duel Under the Pristine Blue” of Honkai: Star Rail. Just a couple of days ago, they did a special program live streaming on YouTube talking about this upcoming, exciting new update, you can view the full record of 46 minutes through this link. 

The 3 main updates in this version are: New 5-star characters Yunli and Jiaoqiu; A new map called The Shackling Prison, located in the world of Xianzhou Luofu; An upcoming collab with Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] in Q3 2025.
 

New 5-Star Characters

 

Yunli

 

 

In the new version, you will have the opportunity to obtain Yunli, the master following the path of Destruction, and taking Physical as part of her combat type. From a very young age, she learned swordsmanship and forging from General Huaiyan, her grandfather. And later she became a sword hunter in Xinzhou Zhuming. Looking at this short biography, you can find it easy to understand why she hates those evil and cursed swords and is determined to bring an end to them.

 

Jiaoqiu

 

 

Jiaoqiu is also an upcoming character in version 2.4, “Finest Duel Under the Pristine Blue”. Being a foxian healer from Xianzhou Yaoqing, Jiaoqiu is a good-looking character showing the charming smile everywhere he goes. Though he smiles at you, you still should be aware of the conspiracy behind that kindness.

 

Some time before he suffered a broken heart and decided to stop practicing medicine and turn into a simple and peaceful life. But in order to save the life of General Feixiao, he returned to the field once again.

 

New Map

 

 

Here in the Shackling Prison, where Xueyi and Hanya are employed, you will dive into the depths of the prison, where Xianzhou Alliance's most infamous criminals are held captive beneath the waters of Scalegorge Waterscape and guarded by the Ten-Lords Commission.

 

Before being led to their cells, prisoners are required to stand trial. Those who have perpetrated horrible crimes against Xianzhou will be imprisoned in specially designed cells with extreme temperature.

 

Collab with Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works]

 

 

Though the details of this collab event haven’t been revealed so much yet, we can still look forward to this cooperation between one of the most successful mobile games by HoYoverse and one of the most world-famous and classic anime series.
