Mo.co's Maintenance Reveals Game Issues: All Fixes Underway (March 2025)

Developed by Supercell, mo.co is a highly anticipated social RPG blending open-world exploration, PvP battles, and quirky cooperative gameplay. Launched in invite-only beta on March 18, 2025, the game has drawn massive attention for its whimsical art style and emoji-driven interactions (e.g., using emojis to ride creatures or trigger abilities). Recently mo.co has discovered some issues during the latest maintenance, but promised players that this won't affect them negatively in any way.

Optional Update in mo.co (March 20-21)

During the first two days, these earlyplayers have reported some issues, which the developer addressed in an official post on March 20, 2025. These issues includes:

  • Some emojis causing players to hop off their ride
  • Offers getting stuck in "pending" state
  • First PvP set which unlocks at level 15, gear was capped at level 14, now it was changed to 15
  • In some maps, Harvesters were stuck and not moving

Amid soaring player engagement post-launch, released an optional update early (originally slated for March 20-21) to fix crashes and glitches. When the player opens the game, a notification about it will pop up. Select Yes and you can update the game in a few minutes.

Bugs & Unintended Fallout after the first maintenance

Apart from that, Supercell also announced that the first maintenance in mo.co is currently underway. However, during the first maintenance, a server-side error caused 3,624 players to lose XP, unlocked worlds, and purchases. According to its post on March 21, developers are taking all necessary steps to solve this issue as quickly as possible:

  • Identifying all affected players
  • Restoring lost purchases
  • Addressing lost progress

Mo.co's Response: Restorations & Compensation

Following the March 21 maintenance patch that resolved the core server-side bug, mo.co's developers discovered additional progress losses tied to the second update, now under urgent review. Here's their action plan:

  • Hotfixes & Stability: All confirmed triggers for progress loss have been patched. Gameplay deemed "stable and safe" for all players.
  • Automated Recovery: System-wide scans identify affected accounts; lost XP, items, and purchases will be restored "within days".
  • Compensation: Affected players will receive bonus in-game currency and exclusive rewards as apology (specifics to be announced).
