Com2uS announced yesterday that its RPG Summoners War: Chronicles will begin full-scale global service on March 9. Chronicle is a global title based on Com2uS mega-hit Summoners War: Sky Arena IP, which has garnered 180 million downloads worldwide.
The game has been praised for its ability to embody the strategic tactics and character agility stats that made Summoners War so successful. In particular, it inherited the playstyle of Summoners War, where a few powerful summons does not have an absolute impact on the game, but rather strategically utilize summons with various attributes and skills depending on the opponent.
The game also introduces a new combat format that combines playable manual combat with the IP's first-ever summoner-summoner team-up, creating a unique play experience that can only be found in Chronicle.Based on this solid gameplay and rich content, Chronicle was released in Korea in August and in North America in November last year, proving the title's success with both existing IP fans and those who prefer the genre.
The game supports simultaneous mobile and PC play and is available on app markets such as Google Play Store and Apple App Store, as well as Com2uS Group's Hive Cross Play, Google's PC game support platform Google Play Games, and Steam, and has been praised for its success in expanding the user base with high accessibility. Com2uS will launch Chronicle's global service on March 9. It will expand its service area to more than 170 countries in Europe, South America, and Asia and enter the global market in earnest. The game will be available on various platforms, including mobile and PC, and will be available in 14 different languages, including English, German, French, Japanese, Chinese, and Thai, to target the global user base.
"Chronicle will soon be available to players across the globe beyond North America," said Han Jihoon, Head of Game Business at Com2uS. "We are confident that the global expansion will once again demonstrate the power of the Summoner's War IP, and we will do our best to achieve our goal of joining the 100 billion revenue club lineup in 2023."
