According to NetEase Games, the open beta test for ZOZ: Final Hour begins on Google Play in Brazil and Indonesia, with further regions to follow. The game's Closed Beta Test began in Brazil in October of last year.
Immerse yourself in a genuine post-apocalyptic setting.
The metamorphosis from a man to a zombie is the game's unique feature. In ZOZ, players assume the character of a mercenary and journey to San Yager, a zombie-infested city, in search of Blood Crystal, a strange mineral. Their mission switches to evacuation after they've acquired enough of it. If a player is killed, the Merc transforms into a Zombie Merc and is allowed to continue the game with a new objective: transforming the other players into their own species.
To create a genuine post-apocalyptic scenario, the conflict is located in a vibrant downtown with hospitals, shopping malls, and even an amusement park. When the game begins, players will be thrown into a battleground with seven randomly generated plots. When the once-thriving urban landscape has been abandoned and devastated, only hostile zombies remain, creating a profound sense of immersion.
The game is powered by a NetEase-developed gaming engine that uses next-generation rendering technology to boost the game's realism and engagement by creating dynamic and realistic light and shadow effects in the game by replicating real-world city architecture. ZOZ: Final Hour is available for download from Google Play for players in the aforementioned territories.
